SurfAid International Australia
SurfAid International is a non-profit humanitarian organization which aims to significantly improve the health, wellbeing, and self-reliance of communities in remote geographical locations connected to us through surfing.
We implement development programs in the Mentawai and Nias islands; an archipelago off the western coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. This is a culturally and geographically isolated region where nutrition is generally poor and the people suffer from a high prevalence of treatable and preventable diseases.
Founded in 2000 by Dr Dave Jenkins, SurfAid has grown into a unique organisation with a developed series of proven, high impact and cost effective approaches that create lasting improvements in health and wellbeing.
